Middlebury College Cane Plates

History says that Gamaliel Painter, founder of the college was a great walker and for decades graduates have been given a replica of his cane at graduation. We make the plates which is incredibly labor intensive. The plates need to be engraved, corners rounded, holes placed, then bent in a press twice and finally screwed onto the cane.
